WHAT IS A TRUE BELIEVER IN THE NEW TESTAMENT?
A true believer is someone who by the Holy Spirit is reborn in their spirit, has received the Holy Spirit, and is one with Jesus Christ and the Heavenly Father God.
The Sheep (true believers who live for Jesus):
They believe in Jesus as God's son and the Christ (Messiah, Anointed One sent from God, the Savior of the world).
They have faith in Jesus and have made a commitment to live for Him and trust Him with their life.
They bow their knee to Jesus and follow Him as their Lord and King.
They obey Jesus commands to repent, live holy lives (desire to obey God), forgive, and serve one another motivated by love.
They have been reborn in their spirit, have received the Holy Spirit, and are lead by the Holy Spirit.
They experience and show the fruit of the Holy Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control).
They love the Lord Jesus with all their heart, live for Him, and are willing to die for Him.
They know in their spirit that God's Spirit dwells within them and that they are children of God.
They receive revelation by reading the bible and through the revelatory Spiritual gifts given by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit leads, comforts, teaches, guides them into all truth and shows them what is to come.
They discuss together what they have learned and come into agreement on the mind of Christ.
They each have ministry gifts that they use to build one another up as the body of Christ.
They gather together locally yet consider themselves a part of the body of Christ and family of God with all other true believers.
They will fellowship with and help any other true believer in need.
They share the good news of Gods kingdom to people who do not yet know Christ and pray for their healing and freedom from oppression and demons.
They listen to the voice of the Shepherd (Jesus) and follow and obey Him.
The Sheep are guaranteed eternal life with Jesus and His Father God in a place of paradise and comfort, if they continue to live for Jesus, repent from sin, and live a holy life (desire to obey God).
The Goats and Wolves in Sheep's Clothing (unbelievers):
They may be among the sheep and act much like the sheep but are not truly sheep and therefore do not belong to the kingdom of God.
They may follow Jesus for what they can get from him but fall away when persecution comes.
They may act religious and do some good things but they do not live for Christ but for themselves.
They often gossip, breed lies, and twist the truth of the Gospel, which causes confusion and strife in the body of Christ.
They may practice witchcraft and intentionally try to control and harm the sheep.
It is our choice whether we are Sheep (true believers), or Goats and Wolves in Sheep's Clothing (unbelievers). If we choose to repent of our sin, live a Holy life (desire to obey God), have faith in Jesus and make a commitment to live for Him, then we will have an encounter with God, be reborn in our spirit, receive the Holy Spirit into our life, and become one of His Sheep. If we will not do this then God says we will not inherit the kingdom of God nor enter the kingdom of heaven but instead be thrown into a lake of fire where there is torment day and night forever.
